EOH Coastal is taking a proactive approach to overcoming the niche, high-end IT skills shortages confronting industry today. At the EOH Coastal Academy, we are preparing the next generation of in-demand skills for the real-world workforce, through a combination of intense classroom training and practical experience and mentorship. In line with the renowned national EOH skills development approach, EOH Coastal is upskilling staff and graduates and seeking to partner with universities to ensure IT courses meet the changing demands of industry. We believe this benefits the entire region, helping overcome the skills shortfall EOH and its partners experience, but also helping local industry to drive progress and stimulate economic growth.
Creating data specialists within the Microsoft space using predominantly MS SQL Server technology such as MS SQL Server Database Engine, TSQL development language, SSIS ETL toolset, SSRS reporting tool set, Power BI tool set with MDX and DAX and general data warehousing and development techniques. This is an international MCSE-certified course.
Creating a new breed of business analyst with skills in developing business requirements and functional requirement documents, as well as a fundamental understanding of quality assurance and testing, Customer Experience and User Experience as well as toolsets like VisualStudio Team services that facilitate the whole SDLC process using project methodologies such as Agile/Scrum.
Our Hope at EOH Coastal
Our hope is to secure additional support from enterprises in the region and expand our reach with the launch of a Java academy next year. In the longer-term, we also aim to commercialise our training materials, offer the development of bespoke training courses, and collaborate with tertiary institutions to develop curricula fully aligned to industry needs.
